TABC Varsity Hockey Triumphant on Senior Night

The TABC Varsity Hockey team hosted the Kushner Cobras in their season finale on Thursday night, February 6, which was also TABC’s Senior Night for the graduating varsity hockey players. The Storm had already locked up the top seed while the Cobras needed a win to earn themselves a first round home game in the playoffs. Per Senior Night tradition, all 13 seniors on the team stood on the court for the playing of the national anthems. Then it was time to play. The Cobras were able to go toe to toe with the Storm through one period and kept the game scoreless. In the second period, the Storm finally found their offensive spark, exploding for four goals via seniors Aiden Rauzman, Bentzion Keiser (x2) and Aryeh Simon. The team doubled their score in the third period via junior Shlomo Wenger, senior Azarya Tiger (x2) and senior Noam Becker. Shia Forgash ‘25 played in goal the entire game to preserve the shutout for an 8-0 win. At the conclusion of the game, Athletic Director Oren Glickman delivered remarks and presented each of the graduating seniors with a framed picture of themselves in hockey action as a parting gift from the school. The Storm now turn their attention toward preparing for what will hopefully be a deep playoff run.
