TABC Visits Museum Of the Moving Image

Rebecca Lopkin’s junior and senior film students at TABC took a trip to the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens, New York last week to learn about the evolution of film and television. After learning about the many images it takes to make a motion picture, they toured the halls and looked at the evolution of film cameras and the process of developing film. They also looked at televisions throughout the years and even toured a replica of a movie theater from the early days of film. Finally, they wrapped up their tour with a showing of “The Immigrant’’ by Charlie Chaplin, a perfect conclusion to their fantastic film outing.

Filmmaking is one of the many multi-year elective sequences which students can elect to explore during their years at TABC.
