TABC Wins at CIJE Innovation Day

TABC’s engineering classes brought 19 exciting invention projects to the annual CIJE (Center for Initiatives in Jewish Education) Innovation Day at American Dream on Tuesday. This event brought 400 projects from dozens of Jewish schools around the country, and students presented their projects and business pitches in a competition for awards in various categories. Congratulations to two TABC teams for bringing home prizes for their ingenuity. First was Neurolens by Juniors Tzvi Huff, Mati Sanders and Dovid Stadtmauer who won Best in Mechanical Engineering for Older Adults. The team created a pair of glasses equipped with AI facial recognition and a transparent display built into the lens. It can be trained to recognize the loved ones of a person with Alzheimer’s or other degenerative memory loss and show their name on the lens display as a memory aid. The second TABC team to win was team AquaEye by Juniors Chaim Lipman, Max Obstfeld and Eli-L Singer who won 2nd place in Best Website Design. This project uses AI cameras to detect drowning swimmers in a pool. Their sleek website design communicated their idea and process clearly, winning them this prestigious award!
