TABC Wins Columbus Baseball Invitational

TABC Storm baseball brought their talents to Ohio this week to participate in the annual Columbus Baseball Invitational a.k.a. The Jewish World Series. The team hit the ground running, with easy wins over Valley Torah (Los Angeles), Melvin J. Berman Hebrew Academy (Rockville, Maryland) and Katz Yeshiva High School (Boca Raton). Their first real test came in the semifinal round against the HAFTR Hawks, but they fought their way to a 5-1 win. The team had only an hour to rest for the championship game where they met familiar yeshiva league rivals, the Frisch Cougars. The Storm were looking to avenge an earlier loss they suffered against Frisch in the regular season, and thanks to big contributions from seniors Aharon Weiden, Josh Goldman and junior Shlomo Pasternak, as well as clutch batting and pitching from tournament MVP senior Yechiel Keiser, the team was able to knock off their opponent, 7-5, and bring the hardware home from the Buckeye State. The team now rides a wave of momentum as they head into the final stretch of their regular season back home
