TABC Wrestling Wins Again

On Tuesday night, November 19, TABC won three out of their four varsity matches against MTA and Westchester. In the first match, team captain Mikey Schwartz ‘20 won in an exciting comeback, scoring four points in the last half of the third period to win 6-3. Then, in a coast-to-coast victory, junior Max Balk won his match 8-5. In the final varsity match of the evening, junior Gedalia Axelrod made quick work of his opponent with a 39-second pin. In the exhibition matches, TABC continued its winning ways, going 4-1 with three more pins. Freshman Laivy Miller flattened his opponent, pinning him in a record time of 15 seconds, and freshman Avishai Benhamu won an epic match, scoring five takedowns without ever being taken down himself. The victories versus MTA and Westchester follow the previous week’s action in which TABC swept all matches against Frisch.
