MTA talmidim, rebbeim and faculty have done an incredible job adjusting to the new online learning platform, MTA@Home, where the yeshiva joins talmidim at home to learn, rather than feeling the distance of remote learning. It was another amazing week of MTA@Home, packed with incredible learning and fun activities and events, including: A group of MTA talmidim participated in a civic spirit Zoom session, where they worked together with students from 13 other high schools to discuss how to improve government policies; Talmidim enjoyed learning highlights from the Haggadah with their rebbeim during night seder; Rabbi Menachem Penner, Max and Marion Grill dean of Yeshiva University’s Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, shared divrei Torah with Rabbi Kahn’s Shiur; Rav Judah Mischel inspired talmidim with divrei chizuk; Parents joined their sons for parent-son learning with Rav Moshe Tzvi Weinberg, rebbe/mashgiach in Yeshiva University’s Stone Beis Midrash Program and mashpia of Congregation Beth Abraham in Bergenfield, who also gives a weekly chaburah to MTA juniors; MTA alumni joined their rebbeim for daily alumni shiurim; MTA’s Sports Management Club presented an interactive Q&A with former New York Mets star David Wright; the MTA LEAD entrepreneurship program hosted an engaging discussion on what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur with Professor Mark Finkel, associate professor of entrepreneurship and EMBA director at Sy Syms School of Business; Freshmen and sophomores had a blast on their MTA@Home scavenger hunt; Juniors and seniors had a great time playing Don’t Forget The Lyrics!
