Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

Tamim Academy NYC first graders enjoyed taking responsibility for running a book stall in school as a Chanukah treat for all the families and children of Tamim Academy NYC and the Chabad Early Learning Center CELC (Upper West Side). As well as sorting the books and making all the price tags, the first-grade students also helped parents and children choose which books to purchase, gave out the change and also packed people’s purchases into gift bags. With a wide selection of story books, information books, picture books and even children’s cookery books, there was definitely something for everyone. Working together to organize and run the bookstall as well as having such hands-on opportunities, helped the students further develop their understanding of money as well as appreciate the power of teamwork.
