Tenafly Chabad Academy second graders were introduced to French Artist Paul Cezanne. Cezanne is well known for his still life paintings. He painted over 200 paintings featuring apples. He often painted several different views of the fruit in one painting. Students created their apple still life from an aerial view, looking down on their subject matter. Using oil pastels, they blended their colors to give the apples shape, texture and form. A bright watercolor background completes the artwork.
