In honor of the Rebbe’s birthday, TCA middle school students visited the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s Ohel (gravesite) in Queens, for a unique opportunity to learn and pray. Throughout the morning the students learned together both in chaburas and chavrutas, said Tehilim, and wrote down personal goals and resolutions. They concluded the trip visiting the actual gravesite of the Rebbe, and praying for themselves and others. This month, on the 11th of Nissan, will be the 120th birthday anniversary of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Shneerson, zt”l. The Rebbe always emphasized the power of a birthday and its significance as the day the neshama, soul, of the person started its unique avoda, mission, in this world. In preparation for this trip, the students spent the last several weeks memorizing Mishnayot by heart, as part of a beautiful and meaningful program in honor of this special upcoming birthday anniversary.
