Teach NJ ran Teacher Appreciation programs across Bergen County this week, with each shul participating in their own creative way. Some hosted youth events, delivered gifts to teachers’ homes, incorporated the theme into their Shabbat drashot and gave kiddush in honor of our wonderful teachers.
Participating shuls included Congregation Ahavat Achim, Congregation Ahavath Shalom, Congregation Ahavath Torah, Congregation Bet Yosef, Congregation Beth Aaron, Congregation Beth Sholom, Congregation Bnai Yeshurun, Congregation Darchei Noam, Congregation Oh HaTorah, Congregation Rinat Yisrael, Congregation Shaarei Tefillah, Congregation Zichron Mordechai, East Hill Synagogue, Kehillat Kesher, Congregation Netivot Shalom, Ohr Chodosh, Ohr Sadya and Young Israel of Teaneck.
“It was a wonderful opportunity to shine a spotlight on the holy and selfless dedication of our teachers and get people thinking on what else we can do for them,” shared Ben Blumenthal, a volunteer.
