Dear Team Eric,
What an amazing experience it was yesterday!
We Levensons, Mirskys and Krasnas were blown away by all the support. I’m proud to report that Team Eric came in #2 for funds raised (close to $10,000), and I came in #2 for individual fundraiser! All told, there were over 1000 walkers, and over $120,000 was raised!
Kudos to Mark Levenson for holding down the fort at the Team Eric table and thank you to Chaim (Howard) Lauer, and his company, “In Novel Ways,” for re-printing the amazing team tee-shirts and our new swag grocery bags.
This walk, and your support of us, is so inspirational, and moving, and it means so much to us to know how much you care about us, and Eric’s lasting memory. For those of you who knew him, you know he would have loved this.
Just as important is the message that suicide must and can be prevented, and the stigma of mental illness must be eroded, so people with mental health challenges can feel safe and comfortable looking for help. The funds we raised in this walk go towards those goals, through research, political advocacy and community programs, such as Talk Saves Lives, More Than Sad and other talks in high schools and college campuses, as well as support programs for survivors of suicide.
Keep in touch and have a great fall. We love you guys.
