Teaneck 12U: Undefeated Season And Champions

As a cap to an unbelievable season, the 12U fall team has won their first championship after going undefeated for the entire season. Some games were closer than others and because of a beautiful fall season only one game had been rained out.

After going 7-0 in the regular season the 12U boys clinched 1st place. Their first playoff game was their closest of the season where they squeezed out a 3-2 victory over a tough Fort Lee team. They then played a very tough team from Stony Point, NY. Co-MVP Liam Levy pitched five innings of 1-run ball. His pitching the entire season has been stellar never letting up more than 3 runs a game.

Co-MVP David Gellis provided most of the offense this season and that continued into the championship game going 3-for-3 with 2 runs scored that helped secure a 3-1 victory.

Azriel Goldberg had a huge hit and 2 RBI’s in the game as well. The rest of the team helped keep it close loading the bases a few times.

“The amazing defense and pitching is why we won this game,” said co-coach Micah Kaufman. “I would like to congratulate Ari Kaminetzky, Eli and Shaye Goldberg, Bentzion Fiorino, Zack Levy, Liam Levy, Yair Levie, Azriel Goldberg, Tuvia Levine, Sammy Penn and David Gellis. Their total effort made for an incredible and memorable season.”
