As a lifelong resident of Teaneck, I can say that the Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps (TVAC) has always been there for us in times of need.
TVAC has provided care for myself and for my family on various occasions over the last 40-plus years. They always arrived promptly with a well trained crew and tended to our needs with top-notch care, expertise and professionalism.
I have always marveled at the large number of local young men and women who volunteer their time for the residents of Teaneck, as it helps them immeasurably as they grow, and is clearly a tremendous chesed for the community. It is a constant Kiddush Hashem to have countless members from the Jewish community as part of TVAC.
TVAC is there for the Teaneck residents in many other ways as well, such as borrowing wheelchairs, walkers or the like when residents need them temporarily.
It is truly a local treasure that we should all be very proud of.
