It was flooding fun in Teaneck Chabad preschool as the children celebrated parshat Noach. They had a rain party at which everyone wore raincoats and boots and carried umbrellas. The children sprayed each other with “rain” from a spray bottle. In the Learning Lab, the children explored themes of water, colors and rainbows. One of the activities they enjoyed was the fizzing rainbow. They started with a thick layer of baking soda in a pan as the canvas. The children used a pipette to drip different colors of water onto it. Then, they switched to different color vinegar, which looked exactly the same as the water, but this time, when it was dripped onto the baking soda, it “grew” and fizzed! The pre-k made rainbow cookies from scratch.
