To welcome spring, the pre-nursery class at Teaneck Chabad Preschool invited a parent volunteer, Miriam Rosenberg, to do a spring activity with the children. She read Eric Carle’s “The Hungry Caterpillar,” and then everyone made their own butterflies. She introduced a novel method of painting the butterflies by blowing watercolors through a straw. The children loved doing that! They made the body of the caterpillars by rolling a toilet paper roll in glue and glitter.
