The Moriah kindergarten children are so excited to begin the new school year! They are eager to learn more about their new classmates. They launched a unit entitled, “All About Me!,” where they developed the idea that some attributes about people are the same, and some are different. They noted that everyone has brains, all are mammals, and all students attend Moriah School. Additionally, they saw that some of them are girls and some are boys, they have different hair/ eye color, and wear different clothing. They learned that some things are easier for some of them to do, and some things are more difficult. Each child had the opportunity to choose an item from home that tells something unique about them, bring it to class, and use it as a means to share about themselves. The objects are displayed on their classroom discovery tables.
