Teaneck Community Charter School spent the week celebrating Read Across America 2022. There were themes each day, creating excitement throughout the building. The staff and students were all involved making the week a huge success. The themes included dressing as your favorite character because reading builds character, wearing a shirt with words to show that reading is everywhere and wearing pajamas to show that reading is relaxing. The students loved showing off their favorite books, shared information about their heritage and enjoyed the extra reading time in school. Read Across America came after a TCCS Read-a-Thon, where the students logged their reading time for two weeks to raise money for a new playground.
