Teaneck Doghouse Sportstar of the Week: Eitan Leff

p style=”text-align: justify;”>The Jewish Link of New Jersey and Teaneck Doghouse would like to recognize 16-year-old Eitan Leff as this week’s Sportstar of the Week. Leff, a rising senior at Torah Academy of Bergen County, batted 1000 at the Columbus Baseball Tournament and drove in a few runs as a manager.

Eitan, who would you say is your role model?

My parents, because they always told me to dream big and that is what I have been doing my whole life

Who is your favorite athlete, and why?

Derek Jeter, because he did everything asked of him but he stayed humble. Also, he was a great leader.

Looking back, what is your greatest sports accomplishment?

Being the captain of the RPRY hockey team.

What is your pregame routine?

A bowl of ice cream and my favorite Jewish music.

What is your earliest sport memory?

Playing baseball with my grandfather in the street.

What is your favorite sports memory?

First career hit in high school.

What is your favorite thing to do when you are not playing sports?

Reading about baseball and watching baseball.

What is the best thing about being a Sportstar?

Having great teammates.
