The Jewish Link of New Jersey and Teaneck Doghouse would like to recognize 10-year-old Gabriella Glass as this week’s Sportstar of the Week. The rising sixth grader at The Rosenbaum Yeshiva of North Jersey has been working on her game at Camp Mesorah and the staff has taken notice of her improvement. Glass loves working on all her favorite sports in Camp Mesorah, whether it is during the activities or the workshops. A member of the upper staff at Camp Mesorah told the JLNJ, “Gabriella has been working hard at basketball and improving her skills. She plays with great middot and sportsmanship!”
Gabriella, I have the pleasure of knowing your family and the middot you display on the court come as no shock to me. Who are your role models?
My parents, they have taught me everything and love me.
What are your favorite sports?
Basketball and volleyball.
What is your greatest sports accomplishment?
When I learned to shoot a 3 pointer in basketball and backhand in tennis.
What is your earliest memory?
Playing basketball with my dad and cousins when I was 5 years old.
What do you like to do when not playing sports?
I enjoy gymnastics and hanging with my friends.
What is your favorite sports memory?
Playing BBK with my friends in Camp Mesorah.
What is the best thing about being Sportstar?
Being recognized for my accomplishments in tennis, basketball and volleyball.
