The Jewish Link of New Jersey and Teaneck Doghouse would like to recognize 14-year-old Hannah Schachter as this week’s Sportstar of the Week. The freshman at Yeshivat Frisch won the Defensive Player Award for ninth grade at Hustle & Heart basketball camp this summer. The JV Cougar point guard was crowned the ultimate hustler and never let up. Shana Steinmetz of Hustle & Heart told the JLNJ, “Hannah Schachter is the hardest working girl on the court. She doesn’t quit. If a coach tells her they don’t want a certain opponent to score, she will make sure that player does not score. The word to describe Hannah’s game is relentless. Plus, she does this all with the biggest smile on her face.”
