The Jewish Link of New Jersey and Teaneck Doghouse would like to recognize 13-year-old Tani Katz as this week’s Sportstar of the Week. The seventh grader at Yeshivat Noam is an avid basketball player. Most afternoons, after school he can be found in his driveway shooting hoops by himself, with his brother or with friends. And on Shabbat afternoons he walks all the way across town, to play basketball at the Whittier school with his friends from school. This Shabbat instead of playing ball he will be celebrating his bar mitzvah.
