Teaneck Mayor to Join Camp Mesorah at Third Annual Open House

Teaneck Mayor Mohammed Hameeduddin will once again join Elie Y. Katz to recognize Camp Mesorah for its leadership and growth in Bergen County. The third annual Open House will take place at Dougie’s on Monday, December 4,

6:30-9 p.m.

Mayor Hameeduddin is excited to once again welcome and meet so many of the Mesorah campers and families who live in Bergen County. He said, “We are so happy to see that many more families from Teaneck, Bergenfield, New Milford and Englewood are joining the Mesorah family. Since moving their ‘winter home’ to Teaneck in 2014, Mesorah has been an important part of our Teaneck community, with many of our families joining as staff and camper and we wanted to recognize them again for that.”

A special addition to this year’s event is the debut of Mesorah’s new “Experience Mesorah in Virtual Reality” video—a special 360-degree video that makes you feel like you are in camp! You’ll get to “experience” the Mesorah zipline, hockey courts, speed-boat, trip activities and so much more.

Camp Mesorah Director Ari Katz commented, “We are so excited to have this event again this year. Last year, we had many ‘new to Mesorah’ campers join, allowing them and their parents to meet our Mesorah staff and other campers before camp started. It really made them feel a part of the Mesorah family even before the first day of camp. Plus, all of our campers and staff members love having the chance to meet up during the winter. We feel that Mesorah is more than just a summer camp—Mesorah is a ‘full year’ experience, with campers and staff getting together whenever they can.”

This is a community-wide event—everyone is invited. Campers, staff and parents are welcome to come and meet the girls head counselor, Ronit Wenger; boys head counselor, Rabbi Chaim Hagler; Camp Director Ari Katz; and other members of the Mesorah administrative staff.
