Teaneck Memorial at Emeth for Newtown Victims

A vigil will be held to honor the memory of the victims of the Newtown massacre on Sunday, December 14th from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm in the Temple Emeth parking lot, 1666 Windsor Road, Teaneck (Temple lobby if the weather is inclement).

The general public is invited to bring flashlights and join the vigil to remember the 20 children and six adults who were shot to death two years ago at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Elected officials, community and religious leaders have been invited to attend. Twenty-six candles will be lit in their honor.

Everybody who wishes to remember the precious lives lost at Newtown, Connecticut is encouraged to attend. Ed Gross, chairman of the steering committee, released this statement today: “Although we cannot bring back the tens of thousands lost to rampant gun violence every year in our country, at least we can stand together in consolation.”

The Bergen County Coalition to Prevent Gun Violence and National Council of Jewish Women Bergen County Section invite the public to support their efforts by remembering the loss of innocent lives, and by working with them to bring about legislation designed to end gun violence.
