Teaneck Public Library Offers Programs in the New Year

(Courtesy of Teaneck Public Library) Enjoy the music of Teaneck’s own Don Glazer and his jazz trio on Friday, February 3 at 10 a.m. in the Teaneck Public Library Auditorium. Glaser, who plays “elegant, sumptuous, swinging piano,” will also sing the standards sure to make you smile, from “Love Is Here to Stay” to “I Get a Kick out of You.” It’s a lovely way to start your day.

Friends Friday Art Talk: Vermeer and the Golden Age of Dutch Painting—Savor the art of Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer in this slideshow by art historian Janet Mandel. It’s a perfect complement to the ongoing Dutch Masterpieces exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Music on a Sunday Afternoon: Pop torch songstress Ellen Woloshin—This show encapsulates music of love and loss, and the depth of that experience through the decades. This New York singer/songwriter is the daughter of celebrated jingle writer Sid Woloshin, and made her own way spinning jingles for some well-known American brands.
