Teaneck’s Tali Weisinger Makes Aliyah

Tali Weisinger, 19, a Teaneck local, was one of 233 North American immigrants who moved to Israel last week, August 14, on a chartered Nefesh B’Nefesh flight, the organization responsible for removing or minimizing the financial, professional, logistical and social obstacles of immigration to Israel.

The charter flight took off from JFK airport and is in partnership with Israel’s Ministry of Aliyah and Integration, The Jewish Agency for Israel, Keren Kayemeth Le’Israel, JNF-USA and Tzofim-Garin Tzabar.

Tali will be moving to Petach Tikva. She has a brother and sister-in-law living in Jerusalem, as well as another brother serving in the IDF. Next year, Tali will be doing Sherut Leumi, which is an alternative voluntary national service (as opposed to army service) in Israel.

This planeload of olim is the second of two Nefesh B’Nefesh charter flights this summer, which, along with 11 group aliyah flights and olim arriving independently on a daily basis, will bring over 2,000 olim making aliyah through Nefesh B’Nefesh this summer from North America.
