Members of the Teaneck TBO 10U Northeast Bergen All-Stars (NEBAS) championship team gathered in Votee Park to celebrate the installation of their championship banner on the wall at Clubhouse! At the celebration, the team recalled their first practice when they gathered at Clubhouse, looked at “The Wall” together, and determined that winning the championship and having their names listed on the wall was the season goal. Fast forward through the 10-0 undefeated season where the team outscored opponents 151-31 and won the championship with a thrilling walk-off hit. All 14 members of the team enjoyed the celebration—including two team members who were playing against each other in a TBO/BBO showdown!

Gideon Apter, Caleb Block, Ezra Block, Benjamin Chetrit, Nathan Demby, Aiden Merkin, Avi Pasternak, Elan Rabbani, Noam Rabbani, David Siev, Nate Tenzer, David Wilbur, Gavi Yaros and Shai Zaretsky arrived in their Teaneck jerseys and enjoyed a pizza dinner together in the shadows of their championship banner. Team coaches Shlomo Yaros, Jason Demby, Benjo Wilbur, Yigael Chetrit and Noam Block, also enjoyed the celebration as they rallied the team together one last time. The best moment of the day was seeing how the players had built friendships and continued to support each other as they chanted for their teammates who were actively playing their TBO/BBO game. Make sure to look up the next time you’re at Clubhouse—I know 14 boys, five coaches and many family members and friends who will always gaze up with a smile knowing that the team’s achievements will be remembered and celebrated forever!
