(Courtesy of Anshe Chesed) The teens of Anshe Chesed of Linden ran a successful clothing drive that collected over 150 bags of clothes for the needy of Israel.
The clothing drive was conducted in partnership with the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ’s annual Mitzvah Day, as well as with Yad Leah. Yad Leah is a Passaic-based organization that annually collects and distributes over $6 million worth of clothing throughout Israel.
Our dedicated volunteers helped carry bags from cars, register people, write receipts and inform passers-by of their opportunity to donate clothes while Pesach cleaning. With participation from all segments of the local communities, this project was a beautiful show of support for brethren in Israel. Volunteers enjoyed fun with their friends as well as pizza while doing a chesed.
