The seventh-grade students from Tenafly Chabad Academy had an incredibly heartwarming visit to Family of Caring in Tenafly today. Organizing a variety of engaging Chanukah activities, students created a memorable experience for the residents. One standout activity was the dreidel tape painting with watercolors, showcasing not only the students’ artistic talents but also their dedication to sharing the joy of Chanukah.
Students took the opportunity to educate and involve the residents in the dreidel game, fostering friendly competition as they spun the dreidels to win chocolate coins. Chanukah bingo was a hit, introducing residents to new Chanukah-themed items and creating an atmosphere of shared celebration. The doughnut decorating station was a major highlight, providing a space for creativity and connection, resulting in a fantastic afternoon where lasting friendships were formed.
The enthusiasm and warmth exchanged during this visit made it a truly special occasion for both students and the residents of Family of Caring. Students look forward to another visit, eager to continue building meaningful connections and spreading the spirit of joy and togetherness.
