First grade is kicking off their author study units by reading selected titles by children’s book author Peter H. Reynolds! All his novels teach important concepts including empathy, acceptance and grit. After learning a bit about the author’s personal life and looking up Toronto, Canada (where Peter H. Reynolds was born) and Massachusetts (where he lives now) on a map, the children watched a video of the author reading one of his books. They can’t wait to read and discover more fantastic books! What an amazing experience!
