Tenafly Chabad Academy’s fourth-grade students recently hosted an impressive and educational County Fair. Each student selected a country to research in-depth, covering various aspects such as geography, culture, government, and more. The young scholars then created detailed brochures showcasing the highlights of their chosen nations. To bring their research to life, they assembled engaging displays filled with fascinating facts and visual aids.
The fair was a vibrant, multicultural event, with many students dressing in traditional attire representing their countries. They also brought in authentic foods, providing a delightful culinary experience that allowed visitors to taste the world. The displays were adorned with maps, flags, artifacts and other items relevant to each country, making the event both visually appealing and informative.
Students from the first through third and fifth grades attended the fair, enthusiastically exploring the diverse exhibits. This interaction provided a wonderful opportunity for peer learning, as younger and older students engaged with the fourth graders’ presentations. The event not only enriched the fourth graders’ understanding and appreciation of global cultures but also fostered a sense of community and shared learning within the school.
The County Fair at Tenafly Chabad Academy was a resounding success, demonstrating the creativity, research skills and enthusiasm of the students. It was an event that celebrated diversity, education and the joy of discovery.
