In preparation for Thanksgiving, the second graders at TCA made their own “Turkey on the Table.” Each student was given a “thankful feather” and encouraged to decorate it and write down something they are thankful for. Each feather was then attached to the turkey which is now proudly displayed in their classroom as a reminder every day of all that they are thankful for. Not only were the children able to reflect and write, but they did the added mitzvah of giving tzedaka. For every kit sold, “Turkey on the Table” donates meals to those in need through a partnership with Feeding America. Special thank you to one of the class moms who brought in the “Turkey on the Table” and guided the children through this meaningful activity.
