Tenafly Chabad Academy Students Collaborate

As part of Tenafly Chabad Academy’s fourth-grade social emotional lesson, students engaged in the See-Run-Do game, aimed to improve their collaboration skills. Through this activity, students reflected on the challenges of working with others to achieve a common goal and identified specific strategies to collaborate effectively.

To begin, students were grouped into teams of three, each with a unique role. One student was designated as the “seer,” who viewed a detailed image in a separate room and memorized as many details as possible. They then joined the “runners” in another room to verbally communicate what they had seen. The “runners” then relayed this information to the “doers” in a third room, who recreated the drawing on a blank sheet of paper based on the information received.

Through this exercise, students were able to improve their cooperation skills by learning how to communicate effectively and rely on each other’s strengths to achieve a common goal. Additionally, the activity provided an opportunity for students to reflect on the importance of clear communication and identifying individual strengths in group settings. This activity was an excellent way to encourage social and emotional learning among the students.
