Tenafly Chabad Academy Will Miss Morah Etty

Morah Etty Vaknin has been teaching at Tenafly Chabad Academy for eight years and has made a significant impact in the lives of over 1,000 TCA students. She will be moving to Israel over the summer and the school community will miss her dearly.

During the last week of classes, the entire school got together to surprise Morah Etty with special art projects showing how much they love her. She was totally floored as the entire school showed their love for her by clapping and cheering as she walked into the lunchroom.

The art projects presented were for her to take to Israel to remind her of how much all the students love her. One project, made by kindergarten, was a beautiful Hamsa. Lower school students created a beautiful heart with a Hebrew poem about Morah Etty. The project created by middle school was a very special and beautiful set of three paintings, embedded with Hebrew words describing Morah Etty.

During staff meetings later, teachers had a special video presentation and gift for Morah Etty, who has been an amazing inspiration to the entire faculty.

The TCA community will dearly miss Morah Etty and wholeheartedly wish her all the best in her new chapter in Eretz Yisroel. Morah Etty’s impact will continue to resonate at TCA, serving as a lasting testament to her exceptional teaching and the profound difference she made in the lives of her students.
