On Tuesday, March 19, the middle school at Tenafly Chabad Academy had the privilege of going to visit the residents of Brightview Senior Living Community in Tenafly. After sharing some background about the holiday of Purim, the students sang some Purim songs with the residents. It is always touching to see the sensitivity and compassion that accompany the students’ interactions with the seniors. In the spirit of Purim, the students did a craft project with residents, making noise-makers that could be used during Megilla reading. Everyone was enjoying each other’s company so much that an impromptu piano concert and a sing-along broke out. The piano playing students were thrilled to share their talents with the residents and each other. They are looking forward to the next visit with the Brightview residents around Pesach time!
