Thank You Hashem for Ma’ayanot Mishmover

Ma’ayanot Mishmover 5784 brought together students and faculty for an unforgettable night of bonding, connecting, inspiration, learning, reflection and gratitude. The event, spearheaded by Ma’ayanot’s programming team, was planned in consultation with the Thank You Hashem team, and featured a lineup of engaging activities and sessions that left our students inspired and connected to each other and to Hashem.

The evening kicked off with an energetic introduction, setting the stage for the excitement to come. A Rapid on-the-street video segment pumped up the crowd, setting a tone of appreciation and celebration. One of the highlights of the night was the series of teacher-led mishmar sessions, where participants had the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions on various themes. From exploring the concept of gevura in simcha to expressing gratitude through challenges, teachers led sessions that encouraged reflection and growth. The night also included a much-anticipated late night Lev Hashavua which enabled students to bond and discuss how we carry the burdens of our friends and connect to Torah and Hashem through our connection to each other. Students were treated to exciting Thank You Hashem X Ma’ayanot swag and then danced the night away at a midnight blacklight chagiga, followed by senior-led chaburahs and a tish with a cholent cook-off.

Mishmover concluded with davening vatikin overlooking the water at the Hudson River and then returning to school for a delicious breakfast and beautiful kumzitz. At the conclusion of the event freshman Elisheva Dresner commented, “I really enjoyed my first Mishmover experience. I loved being able to bond and connect with friends in my grade that I don’t see as often and it was so nice to spend time with so many teachers throughout the whole night.”

Thank you to both students and faculty for a special night—and thank you Hashem for Ma’ayanot Mishmover!
