In November, I wrote to The Jewish Link about a hateful protest that took place on my block, expressing my concern that such a dangerous incident was unable to be stopped and stating that I was awaiting a response from the council. On March 18, the mayor and council responded with decisive action, unanimously passing a strong ordinance to help prevent such incidents in the future. I am deeply grateful for their courage in standing up against hate and reinforcing law, order and safety for all Bergenfield residents.
