As grandparents to Israeli kids who were hosted by Yeshivat He’Atid, we would like to publicly thank the school for their help when our son and his family came for a “break from the sirens.” (“Yavneh Academy and Yeshivat He’Atid Open Hearts and Doors to Israeli Students,” December 7, 2023).
Our grandchildren were welcomed with open arms by the school’s administration, teachers, students and their families. School parents loaned them clothing that conformed to the school’s dress code. They were immediately befriended by the kids in their classes and by kids in their grades as a whole. Caring and skilled teachers made sure that their emotional, physical and academic needs were met. Our grandkids adjusted to this wonderful school and learned a lot in a remarkably short amount of time.
Yeshivat He’Atid showed our grandkids what the expression “one people” truly means. They returned home feeling calmer and they have wonderful memories from their time at school in America. In short, Yeshivat He’Atid is doing very many things “right” and our family remains grateful.
