Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

Thanks to Zusha Event Sponsors

The article published in last week’s Jewish Link News reported certain information regarding the planning and execution of the Zusha event in the Hillside/Elizabeth community. Any errors and omissions concerning the article rests on the shoulders of the organizers of the event and not upon the staff at The Jewish Link.

While a lot of time and good effort went into the article, all of which we are most appreciative to the staff and editors at The Jewish Link, we, the organizers of the event, would like to clarify two points.

1. This was an inclusive, communal—not shul-driven—event, in which we did our best to represent the communities of Elizabeth and Hillside.

2. Further, we wish to convey a very deserved thank you—yasher koach—to all of the many sponsors that were recognized on our “Playbill.” In particular, Kenny Mandel at The Union YM-YWHA and the JEC who graciously donated the use of the Y’s facilities at no expense and provided the maintenance staff to assist in all aspects of planning and execution. Thank you as well to The Wilf Family Foundation, Congregation Adath Israel, Kehilas Sheves Achim, The Circle Shul, Bennish Travel and all of the anonymous community sponsors, who together, donated thousands of dollars to pay for every last expense, including commissioning a visit from the fabulous Izzy’s Brooklyn Smokehouse Food Truck.

An additional thank you to photographer Alexandra Schupper whose pictures can be viewed at https://www.schuppercreative.com.

We are, again, most appreciative and thankful to the aforementioned and to The Jewish Link for working with us so closely especially as the event drew near.

Thank you,

Have a wonderful Shabbos!
