The 2014 – 2015 Legacy Heritage YUTeach Fellowship

Yavneh Academy is proud to announce that Mrs. Shirley Gantz has been selected from a highly competitive applicant pool to participate in the Legacy Heritage YUTeach Fellowship, the YU School Partnership’s year-long professional development program for passionate, successful Judaic Studies teachers.

This year’s cohort is comprised of 15 teachers who will spend this academic school year immersed in courses that will sharpen their classroom skills as they learn with experts in the field of education and peers from around the country. The learning is taking place online and at three in-person conferences.

Mrs. Gantz is already enjoying the professional networking opportunities that YUTeach provides, having recently returned from an intensive two-day convening at the YU School Partnership’s Critical Friends Group (CFG) Conference, where she learned and networked with over 160 other educators and school leaders.

Although they hail from different backgrounds, YUTeach Fellows all share something in common: a strong commitment to Jewish education and to learning and growing in their practice.

The YUTeach Fellowship is generously funded by the Legacy Heritage Foundation. For more information about YUTeach and other YUSP programs, please visit: www.yuschoolpartnership.org/YU-Teach
