This past week, the 2/3 grade Broncos in the AIFL flag football league played solid team football and won their game 19-0. It was a true team effort, with everyone contributing to the victory. Hillel Fried showed off his Peyton-Manning-like arm with several touchdown passes, even one to his brother Akiva, who was flying all over the field. Doniel Fleischman led off the scoring with a nifty touchdown run on the first series of the game, and displayed his usual solid flag pulling skills. Yishai Neiss continued his impressive defensive and offensive play, completing crucial passes resulting in big plays.
Joey Slomnicki had nice and elusive runs, while Natan Burg had a great end-around run plus a catch, to go along with some key plays on defense. Aron Barzideh also continued his great play on both sides of the ball, running and catching the ball with incredible skill and speed. Shimon Siegel was also crucial to the victory, playing tough defense and adding a great run at the end of the game to help secure the victory. Coaches Fried and Fleischman were very proud of the team’s effort, level of sportsmanship as well as each player’s positive attitude toward everyone contributing.
