The Jewish Link and Drink Up would like to recognize Samantha Pruzansky as this week’s Sportstar of the Week. Samantha is a sophomore at The Frisch School where she is a multi-sport athlete, most notably as one of the stars of the MYHSAL JV champion Frisch Cougars. When asked about Samantha, Frisch JV Basketball Coach Jade Walker said, “Samantha is a natural born leader and is one of the most goal driven young women that I have run into since I have been coaching. Her energy is contagious and her work ethic speaks for itself!” Frisch track coach Jeff Ruttner added “Samantha hit the ground running last year in her freshman year at Frisch, first during the cross country season followed by the track season. She won most of her races both short and long distance, competing in a yeshiva league with 10 different schools from both New Jersey and New York. She is both a dedicated and extremely talented young runner with huge potential. She also has great family support with both parents attending most of her competitions and offering to support their daughter as well as to offer support to the event organizers. She has been a pleasure to coach and contributes immensely to our team.” Frisch JV soccer coach Kelly Vincent shared, “Samantha is a hardworking player who is always eager to improve and do her best. She is always itching to play and show off her skills whenever she can. She is a great asset to the JV soccer team at Frisch and a very talented athlete!”
