The Jewish Link and The Humble Toast would like to recognize Charlie Weiss as this week’s Sportstar of the Week. The rising fourth grader at Yeshivat He’Atid helped his Bergen County Flag Football temple the second/third grade Falcons complete a Cinderella season. In doing so Charlie set a BCFL record, winning four BCFL championships in a row. When asked about Charlie, Paul Kalman, coach of the BCFL 2/3 Falcons, told The Jewish Link, “Charlie is a great player who is always willing to do whatever it takes to help team win.” The Falcons co-coach Alex Chester added. “Charlie is a dynamic football player, a great wide receiver and option quarterback.
