The Jewish Link and The Humble Toast would like to recognize Judah Ehrenreich as this week’s Sportstar of the Week. The Yeshivat Noam third grader has played in all of the local leagues, BCFL, BBO, MGBL and TABC Jr Hockey, along with Bergen Broncos Basketball and two seasons with Teaneck 8U Summer Travel Baseball. When asked about Judah, a family friend told The Jewish Link, “He has played a pivotal role on every team he has played on. Aside from making an impact on the field he takes pride in being a good teammate, working hard and leading by example.” Judah’s father, Adam, added, “While we are very proud of everything Judah has accomplished on the field of play, whether scoring touchdowns and pulling flags, getting the clutch hit, scoring goals and baskets and winning championships, the most important thing is the sportsmanship and middos he has shown during and after the games. That is what it’s all about.”
Judah congratulations on being recognized as this week’s sportstar of the week. Who is your role model and why?
My cousin Yonatan Faber. I love watching him play basketball for TABC.
What is your favorite sport?
Basketball, because I like trying to draw and-ones.
What is your earliest sports memory?
Going onto the field at Citi Field.
What is your greatest sports accomplishment?
Playing catcher and throwing someone out at second base in a BBO game.
Who is your favorite athlete and why?
Pete Alonso. I have liked him since a I’m little kid and I like when he hits big home runs.
What is your pregame routine?
I don’t have one, I’m just ready to play.
What is your funniest sports memory?
When my friend’s brother ran onto the field in the middle of a travel baseball game.
What do you like to do when you are not playing sports?
I enjoy playing NBA 2K.
What is your favorite sports moment?
When I pulled the game winning flag in the BCFL championship game with the Eagles.
What is the best thing about being a Sportstar?
Being in The Jewish Link.
