The Jewish Link and The Humble Toast would like to recognize Tyler Secemski as this week’s Sportstar of the Week. The kindergarten student at the Rosenbaum Yeshiva of North Jersey is a huge sports lover. He currently plays flag football and Teaneck Junior Soccer. He has had multiple touchdowns and stops for his Bergen County Flag Football team, the Patriots. He scored five goals for his TJSL soccer team, the Wales, in a game earlier this season.
Tyler, congrats on your five-goal game and on being recognized as this week’s Sportstar of the Week! Who is your role model and why?
My dad is my role model, because he coaches my teams and he is really good at sports.
What is your favorite sport?
Football, because I love scoring touchdowns and watching games on TV with my dad.
What is your pregame routine?
Running, exercise and drinking Gatorade.
What is your greatest sports accomplishment?
When I scored fuve goals for my soccer team, the Wales, in TJSL.
Who is your favorite athlete and why?
Tom Brady, because he is the greatest quarterback of all time!
What is your earliest sports memory?
Practicing my dribbling with a small basketball.
What is your favorite thing to do when you are not playing sports?
Playing with my friends and my twin sister, Maddie.
What is your favorite sports memory?
Scoring two touchdowns on opening day of BCFFL for my team, the Patriots!
What is the best thing about being a Sportstar?
Winning! Also doing my best to help my team win games!
