The Idea School Honors Women’s History Month

In a Women’s History Month program during the Friday Town Hall period, The Idea School students participated in a Maker Space design challenge to create an object representing a woman in STEM and their contribution to the STEM field. Each team included students from each grade and designs were either digital or analog. Students represented such science superstars as geologist Inge Lehmann, mathematician Katherine Johnson, astronaut Sally Ride, computer scientist Ada Lovelace and the school’s own science teacher, Rivkah Gruber! The end of the week program brought inspiration, understanding and appreciation for the pioneering work in STEM that continues to help the ever changing world.
