As part of their Chanukah celebrations, The Idea School students participated in a Chanukah chesed activity by partnering with Bikur Cholim of Bergen County. Students packaged much needed toiletry items for the bikur cholim hospitality rooms at local hospitals. The packages contained basic necessities such as toothpaste, a toothbrush, mouthwash, soap, water bottles, etc. Within the activity, the students discussed the importance of the mitzvah of bikur cholim and learned more about the organization and the needed services they provide to the community. Over 100 hospitality packages were assembled and will be delivered shortly after Chanukah.
