Students and faculty at The Idea School are gearing up for the first Exhibition of Student Learning of the 2020/2021 school year. The exhibition will take place digitally on Tuesday January 12, at 7:30 p.m., to a virtual audience of parents, prospective students and community friends.
This semester’s projects will include deliverables from the beit midrash, advanced topics in biology, humanities and environmental science to name just a few. In addition, students will be presenting their unique self-driven projects that they have been working on in a passion-based learning class called Democratic Inquiry. Among these passion projects is a textured phone case students could use as a kind of fidget spinners—to have a tactile object to use during class. The students will demonstrate their product, which they have researched and prototyped, using a stop-animation film that they created and filmed.
