On January 30, The Idea School participated in the annual CIJE’s Hackathon at Yeshiva University. The event was aimed at tackling some of the biggest environmental challenges through the creation of Internet-of-things devices. The Idea School’s task was to create a technology that helps the environment and have it connect to an HTML website that the students program. The team made a technology that separates clean and dirty water and used the dirty water for things such as plants that don’t need filtered water. The students’ reaction? “It was challenging but super fun!”
