Students in Mr. Maza’s design and entrepreneurship class had an opportunity to present their class projects in a mini-exhibition style event to industry design professionals. Students heard from professional designers in the hospitality space—one of their projects is the Chelsea Hotel—about what their work is like and why they went into the field of design. Then the designers gave feedback to the students on the interior design spaces they’ve been working on this semester that ranged from entire apartments, bathrooms, studies, hotel rooms, dens and even a man cave for cavemen and the Library of Alexandria. This is another example of projects that bring real world learning to the classroom.
