Last month, The Idea School welcomed Teaneck Mayor Mohammed Hameeduddin to the classroom. In the wake of the shootings in New Zealand, Mayor Hameeduddin spoke with the students, sharing his perspective as a Muslim and mayor of Teaneck; a town that is rich with both religious and ethnic diversity. Both students and faculty participated in engaging discussions with the mayor about being responsible citizens, keeping a positive outlook and being true to yourself and proud of who you are.
